The Nutcracker

I mean, you’re all there to (metaphorically) bust his balls right? What else are best friends for?
  • 1.5 oz. Karma Reposado Tequila
  • .75 oz. unfiltered apple juice
  • .75 oz. lime juice
  • .75 oz. honey-pecan “orgeat”*
  • 6 drops of fresh ginger juice

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass. Shake with ice and strain into an ice filled glass. Splash club soda. Garnish with a thin slice of apple.

*Honey-Pecan “Orgeat”
  • 1.5 c. honey
  • 1.5 c. hot water
  • 1 c. pecans

Stir honey and water until honey is dissolved. Add pecans and drop into a Vita Mix blender. Puree on high for 15 seconds. Strain through a chinois, tamping the “dough” down to extract the maximum amount of syrup. Bottle, label, and date. Expires in 5 days.
